DEFTONES To Release CD/DVD Collection Of Rarities

April 5, 2005

DEFTONES are getting close to wrapping up the recording sessions for their as-yet-untitled untitled fifth album. The group have been recording with legendary producer Bob Ezrin (PINK FLOYD, KISS, JANE'S ADDICTION) and have 15 tracks recorded for the effort. The band are also said to be working on a very special 10th anniversary rarities and b-sides CD/DVD that will be out this summer. This "incredible" collection is going to feature never-before-seen or -heard music, performances, and videos spanning the band's career.

In other news, DEFTONES frontman Chino Moreno recently interviewed FAILURE singer/guitarist Ken Andrews for the "Idol Worship" section of the May 1 issue of Alternative Press magazine. Moreno has long cited FAILURE as a major influence, though the two bands were contemporaries. The interview was timed to coincide with the recent release of FAILURE's DVD retrospective "Golden", which tracks the band from their inception in 1990 to their demise in 1997 with live footage and commentary tracks.
