DEF LEPPARD To Perform On 'Live With Regis And Kelly'

June 6, 2006

On June 26, DEF LEPPARD will appear on the syndicated morning show "Live with Regis and Kelly" — hosted by Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa — to play one or two songs. For showtimes and ticket information, click here.

As previously reported, DEF LEPPARD's covers set "Yeah!" (Mercury/Universal) sold 42,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 16 on this week's The Billboard 200 chart. This marks the group's tenth consecutive top 20 album, following the success of the band's two-disc best-of set "Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection", which entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 10 in May 2005 with sales of about 66,000 copies.

"Yeah!" is said to be "a heartfelt and hard-rocking tribute" to DEF LEPPARD's musical heroes of the late '60s and '70s — THE KINKS, BADFINGER, T. REX, DAVID BOWIE, SWEET, ROXY MUSIC, MOTT THE HOOPLE, FREE, FACES, and THIN LIZZY.

DEF LEPPARD kicked off a short European tour on June 3, after which they'll hook up with JOURNEY for a three-month-long North American tour that starts June 23 in Camden, New Jersey.
