DEF LEPPARD Offer Chance To Win Autographed Guitar

July 19, 2005

UMe and Jackson Guitars have teamed up to offer one lucky fan a chance to win a brand new blue Jackson JS1 Dinky guitar, autographed by DEF LEPPARD members Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Vivian Campbell, Rick Savage and Rick Allen.

According to the contest announcement, "We want to make sure a true DEF LEPPARD fan gets their hands on this nice axe.....and so we have come up with three not-so-simple questions that you have to answer correctly to be thrown in the big hat, out of which we will pick a winner. That's right, no 'in what year did the band release their 'Hysteria' album'-type of question, or something like 'in which city did DEF LEPPARD start out". We'll make it a little harder (but still not TOO difficult for a DEF LEPPARD fan, we hope),to make sure that a real fan ends up with this great guitar!"

These are the questions:

* When Vivian joined the band in 1992 after Steve Clark passed away, he was not the only ex-WHITESNAKE guitarist who was considered to join the band. Who was the other one?
* During the recordings of "Let's Get Rocked", what time did the band eat?
* Which guitarist, who used to play with David Bowie, was the original inspiration for Joe and Phil to start their CYBERNAUTS project?

"And even if these are a little too difficult for you, then a little bit of research should lead you to the correct answers (the booklets of 'Rock of Ages' and the international 'Best Of' release should help you with at least one question)."
