DEF LEPPARD Drummer Is 'Driving Force' Behind Wife's Solo Album

September 28, 2007

DEF LEPPARD drummer Rick Allen is acting as "executive producer" on the debut album from his wife Lauren Monroe, entitled "The Freedom Sessions". Allen is also the drummer and percussionist on the album, to be released in early November.

Commented Lauren, "Who knows if I would have ever arrived at this place at all without the unstoppable determination of my executive producer and 'Thunder God' husband Rick Allen? Rick has been a driving force on this project for the past seven years and I have learned volumes from working with him. Patience, for one, not to mention the art of listening and crafting sound."
