DEF LEPPARD: 'Best Of' Compilation To Receive North American Release After All

October 28, 2004

Despite a previous announcement to the contrary, the new DEF LEPPARD compilation album and DVD, "Best Of", will be issued in North America after all. A 2005 release is expected. No further details are currently available.

In other news, the U.K. sales for the "Best Of" CD are said to be "encouraging," according to a posting on the group's official web site. "The way things are now, the album will be the second highest new entry in next week's U.K. album chart, very close after Cliff Richard'Somethin' Is Goin' On'," the posting adds. "So go out and buy or order as many copies for your friends as you can so we can beat Cliff and be the highest new entry!"

As previously reported, those markets that will not see the release of "Best Of" will continue to carry the original 1995 hits compilation "Vault". In all territories where the new album will be issued, "Vault" will be deleted and replaced by "Best Of".
