DEF LEPPARD Bassist: '70s Covers Album Due In September
DEF LEPPARD bassist Rick Savage has revealed to Hoover's Online that the group's latest project is a covers album of hits from the Seventies, tentatively due in September. "We are playing songs from all the great rock bands, including DAVID BOWIE and ROXY MUSIC," Savage said. "It originally was a bit of fun for us and then the record company got excited."
The upcoming album will be the follow-up to 2002's "X" (Island Records), which debuted at #11 on The Billboard 200 chart with a first-week sales tally of over 71,000.
