DEF LEPPARD: A Change Of Mind Regarding '70s Covers Album?

According to, DEF LEPPARD's webmaster has posted the following message on the web site:

"In an article about his house, [DEF LEPPARD bassist Rick Savage] mentioned that the next DEF LEPPARD album would be a compilation of cover tunes from the '70s, to be released in September. Even though it's from the band's bass player, don't count on it too much. The interview was done a long while ago and plans have changed (a lot) since. Some '70s cover tunes HAVE been recorded, but whether they will be released on the next album, remains to be seen at the moment."
