DEEP PURPLE Singer Auctioning Watch For Charity

According to a post on the DEEP PURPLE fan site The Highway Star, PURPLE frontman Ian Gillan is selling his watch on eBay, with all proceeds from the auction going to charity. Gillan said, "I have donated it to raise money for a good cause, a local charity. I mentioned to Steve Cross — a friend of mine who is running the eBay sale — that it might be polite to mention it to the fans on The Highway Star as someone might be miffed if they didn't get a chance to make an offer. It's not up on Caramba [Gillan's official web site] because Steve Campbell has just returned from vacation. If we get the time we will put it up." Click here to view and bid on the watch.
