DECEIVER Complete Work On Full-Length Debut

April 5, 2005

DECEIVER, the Swedish metal band featuring former members of MAZE OF TORMENT and XENOFANES, have completed work on their full-length debut, "Riding with the Reaper", tentatively due in early May on both CD and vinyl through Iron Fist Productions. The CD was recorded over a one-week period at the Abyss studio with producer Tommy Tägtgren. The complete track listing is as follows:

01. Crown of Deceit
02. Raise Your Horns
03. Sinners Congregation
04. Riding with the Reaper
05. Slay the Rainbow
06. God of Dead
07. She - Ghost
08. Cover the Wounds (feat. Mia Coldheart of CRUCIFIED BARBARA)
09. Mexican Thunder
10. Destroy 'Em All

In other news, DECEIVER have cancelled their previously announced tour with DEVIL LEE ROT in May. "The reasons are many and we hope that the metalheads out there that planed to see us don't get to disappointed," the band write on their web site. "Of course, we will work our best to arrange something else later on. But we will still do the United Metal Maniacs Festival show on May 15 in Bitterfeld, Germany. It will be a fucking blast!!!"

DECEIVER released their self-titled debut mini-CD last summer. The EP, which features five songs recorded at Abyss with Tommy Tägtgren, was previously said to appeal to "fans of old stuff such as MOTÖRHEAD, MERCYFUL FATE, VENOM, METALLICA and JUDAS PRIEST."
