The Swedish band, in existence since January 2000, were previously known as SWORDMASTER and feature in their ranks former DISSECTION drummer Ole Öhman and guitarist Emil Nödtveidt (brother of DISSECTION leader Jon). The group's musical style is being described as "powerful industrial metal," and is said to be not a million miles removed from that of PAIN, RAMMSTEIN and MARILYN MANSON.

DEATHSTARS, whose lineup is rounded out by vocalist Andreas Bergh and guitarist Erik Halvorsen, are featured on the 2-DVD compilation "Monsters Of Metal" with the track "Synthetic Generation" (Real Media).
