DEATH BREATH: Audio Samples Available

August 17, 2006

Audio samples of all 10 tracks that will be featured on the debut album from DEATH BREATH — the new Swedish old-school death metal project featuring former ENTOMBED drummer and main songwriter Nicke Andersson (currently the frontman of his rock 'n' roll band THE HELLACOPTERS) — are available at this location. Entitled "Stinking Up The Night", the CD is scheduled for release in North America on October 17 via Relapse Records (the CD will be issued in Europe on September 22 through Black Lodge).

Inspired by the recent resurgence in the classic old-school death metal sound and the book "Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal and Grindcore", DEATH BREATH is said to be "the ultimate tribute band to all that was rough, raw and wretched in extreme metal."

"Stinking Up The Night" was recorded at Acetone Studio in Stockholm by the band and Michael Borg. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Death Breath
02. Chopping Spree
03. Heading for Decapitation
04. Dragged Through The Mud
05. Coffins of the Unembalmed Dead
06. A Morbid Mind
07. Reduced to Ashes
08. Christ All Fucking Mighty
09. Flabby Little Things From Beyond
10. Cthulhu Fhtagn!

DEATH BREATH's current lineup is completed by guitarist/vocalist Robert Pehrsson (who plays in THE HELLACOPTERS guitarist Robert Dahlqvist's side project THUNDER EXPRESS) and bassist Mange Hedquist. Guest musicians on the album include vocalist Jörgen Sandström (who previously fronted the Swedish death metallers GRAVE),REPULSION vocalist/bassist Scott Carlson and DISMEMBER drummer Fred Estby.
