DEAR SUPERSTAR Signs With DEMOLITION Imprint DR2

July 24, 2008

Global Music has announced the signing of DEAR SUPERSTAR to its Demolition imprint label DR2.

According to a press release, "DEAR SUPERSTAR has been provoking titanic waves on the live scene" since its debauched conception in 2004 with its "heart-stopping shows, infectious hooks and 'never-surrender' attitude." In 2006, the band recorded its self-produced debut album, "Confessions Of A Twisted Mind", to heroic acclaim.

After a bright start to their career the band headed out on the road in 2007 with two tours of Scandinavia as well as conquering the UK with the likes of THE BLACKOUT, MENDEED and PITCHSHIFTER. Now in 2008, DEAR SUPERSTAR has recorded their new full-length album, "Heartless", with Romesh Dodangoda (FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LOST PROPHETS, KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES) at Longwave Recording Studio, Cardiff and even seduced BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE into lending their vocals to the metal influenced masterpiece "Live.Love.Lie", the band's first single taken from "Heartless", due for release in late summer 2008.

Commented DEAR SUPERSTAR frontman Micky Satiar: "Signing to Demolition/DR2 Records is a dream come true! DEAR SUPERSTAR is our life and we're psyched to have inked a deal with a label we trust and respect. Sharing the Demolition/DR2 roster with our own heroes like WEDNESDAY 13, HANOI ROCKS and SEBASTIAN BACH is just insane!! Now we have the right label and the perfect record, its time to take our debauched rock n roll to the masses!"
