DC4: Studio Update

December 23, 2006

Los Angeles-based hard rock band DC4, featuring former DIO guitarist Rowan Robertson alongside brothers Jeff Duncan (ARMORED SAINT, ODIN) on lead vocals and guitar, Shawn Duncan (ODIN, BIRD OF PREY) on drums, and Matt Duncan on bass, has finished recording the follow-up to 2002's "Volume One" and the early results are positive. Shawn reports that "the recording has gone balls-out and I couldn't be happier with the energy," while Matt adds that although he has "recorded with Jeff and Shawn a million times and know what to expect from them, they always seem to surprise me in some way or another." The album is currently being mixed and produced by Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING) who comments that "the band was very well rehearsed, which made for a smooth session. I've known Jeff, Shawn and Matt for quite some time now and it was really like a bunch of buddies just hanging out. Their recent addition of Rowan is a great shot in the arm, as he brings in unexpected influences, which makes for a more interesting sound in the end."

The band is excited for fans to hear what the newest DC4 music has to offer and the enthusiasm shows through. Comments Matt, "I hope the fans hear the hard work and also the fun it was to make this record. We worked hard and laughed our asses off!" As for when the new music will be ready, Joey says that "We tracked 10 songs but we're concentrating on three songs on a full production level. We're hoping to have a three-song sampler of the record by the end of the year. This is not a demo — these three songs will go to eleven!" Songtitles set to appear on the CD are as follows:

01. What You Wanted
02. Explode
03. Hate Parade
04. God Complex
05. Disturbed
06. Cany Cain
07. Rock And Roll Disease
08. Cabin Fever
09. Long Hard Road
10. Experiment
