DAVID ELLEFSON's F5 To Perform Acoustically On 98 KUPD FM This Sunday

December 14, 2006

The holiday spirit of performances continue for F5 — the new Phoenix-based band featuring former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson, ex-SICK SPEED vocalist Dale Steele, drummer David Small, and guitarists Steve Conley and John Davis — this Sunday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m. Mountain Standard time where they will join Jonathon L on his "The Lopsided World of L" radio show, broadcast on 98 KUPD FM in Phoenix, AZ. As this week's in-studio guests, the band will give an intimate acoustic performance, discuss their recent "LIVE! for all Seasons" DVD, and the past year's events of touring, too.

The broadcast can be heard live on the air in Phoenix, AZ, or via the Internet, on 98 KUPD FM. You can register to sign up and listen to the show this Sunday at www.jlradio.com or www.kupd.com.

A complete recap of the band's musical history from inception in 2003 through 2006, including the recording sessions and touring for the debut album "A Drug for all Seasons", the "edgy and raw" "LIVE! for all Seasons" DVD focuses on live concert footage shot during F5's recent tour stop in Ithaca, New York. Also included is close and personal video of music from the group's early rehearsals, a special "making-of" studio segment, band interviews and more.

Shot and directed by Rich Stahle of Underground Video Television (UVTV),the live video for "Dissidence" — which appears on the upcoming DVD — is available for viewing at the UVTVweb site. Additional live tracks on the disc include "Hold Me Down", "Defacing", "Fall to Me" and a brand new, previously unreleased song entitled "Cause for Concern".

F5's debut album, "A Drug for all Seasons", was released in North America in September 2005 via Cleopatra Records. The original version of "A Drug for all Seasons" is also available in Asia on JVC Victor Entertainment and in Europe on Mascot Records.

F5, whose sound is being described as guitar-heavy melodic hard rock, recorded the album last year at a Phoenix-area studio with producer Ryan Greene, who had previously worked with Ellefson in 1991 on the demos for MEGADETH's "Countdown to Extinction" album.
