DAVE NAVARRO Talks To KIIS FM About SUPERNOVA: Audio Available

March 30, 2006

Former JANE'S ADDICTION/RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and current THE PANIC CHANNEL guitarist Dave Navarro was on the phone with KIIS FM's Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K on Monday (March 27). Navarro was full of praise for "American Idol" season one champ Kelly Clarkson, and talked about the new season of "Rock Star". This season will feature the supergroup SUPERNOVA — consisting of drummer Tommy Lee of MÖTLEY CRÜE, former METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted, and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke — who will be using the program to find a lead singer. With a band, the reality show, and a radio show, he joked his career is going on a "mini Seacrest vibe." Navarro talked about going overboard storytelling on his radio show. As for rumors of marital problems with Carmen Electra, he was quick to deny any trouble. Download and listen to the interview here (MP3, 6 MB).
