DARKEST HOUR To Play Benefit Show In July

May 21, 2004

DARKEST HOUR will be playing a special show on July 2 at the Black Cat in Washington D.C. Also appearing on the bill will be MAJORITY RULE and THE ROUTNIERS. "Not only is [DARKEST HOUR] playing with some killer bands but this is a great benefit show as well," the band write on their web site. "All proceeds will go towards benefiting The Syrentha J. Savio Endowment (SSE). This organization, made famous by THRICE, helps provide chemotherapy and other necessary medication for women who cannot afford the growing expense of fighting cancer. This issue is very close to DH and our friends, so please come out and show your support for a great cause. Also look for a surprise appearance by Mike Damnation. $10 Main Stage 9:30 (PS buy those tickets now as the show will sell out)."

As previously reported, DARKEST HOUR have secured a second-stage slot at this year's Ozzfest beginning on July 10 in Hartford, CT. DARKEST HOUR's most recent CD, "Hidden Hands of A Sadist Nation", which was released a year ago through Victory, features guest appearances from former AT THE GATES/THE CROWN frontman Tomas Lindberg, Anders Björler (AT THE GATES, THE HAUNTED),Peter Wichers (SOILWORK) and Marcus Sunesson (THE CROWN).
