DARK TRANQUILLITY Frontman Is Promising 'Long Set' On Upcoming European Tour

October 6, 2005

Swedish melodic death metallers DARK TRANQUILLITY are about to embark on a European headlining tour in support of their latest effort, "Character" (released in January 2005). After supporting KREATOR on their European tour in spring 2005, a trip to the U.S. and numerous festival appearances, the sextet will be headlining this time, with support from thrash/metalcore hybrid CHIMAIRA and HATESPHERE.

Vocalist Mikael Stanne comments on the upcoming tour: "We are very proud and excited to announce that we are heading out on another massacre of the European variety. Right in the middle of darkest December we will come and haunt your waking dreams. We are bringing a strong package this time around for sure. The mighty CHIMAIRA from the US of A and our Danish drinking buddies HATESPHERE. I personally cannot wait to go out with a posse like this and I am confident that you people out there into diversity and intensity will get your fill. So prepare to get those carcasses out in the miserable pre-christmas cold and join us for hours cosy carnage and madness. I promise you the full DARK TRANQUILLITY experience with a long set of songs about self-destruction and pain that you all know and love!"

DARK TRANQUILLITY just returned from a show on Gran Canaria, where they played at Metal Zone festival, and are prearing to play the Motala Motala Metal Festival in their home country on November 19 with labelmates NOCTURNAL RITES and other acts.
