DARK FUNERAL's Concert In Peru Ends In Near-Riot: Video Available

October 12, 2006

BLABBERMOUTH.NET has received the following report from a DARK FUNERAL fan in Peru:

"What happened [on Sunday, October 8] in Lima, Peru at the DARK FUNERAL concert was outrageous. Metalheads were waiting for a brutal concert to come... they were expecting total chaos from these Swedes, but they let us totally down. Vocalist didn't sing at any time of the concert. I know that shit like this happens in a band, but what's the point in performing if one instrument is missing? It was boring and people felt cheated. They even played like only an hour, and then they ran out of the stage to the hotel and then to the next stop in their tour. It's a shame 'cause we don't have too many international bands playing in Peru very often, and it's so easy to cheat on us. Next time if someone in the band is sick, simply don't play and return the money, we don't want instrumental concerts. 20 bucks for a concert is a lot for the average Peruvian metalhead, and I mean A LOT."

Another BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor submitted the following report:

"DARK FUNERAL is on a Latin American tour, but in Peru, things [went] wrong. Apparently Emperor Magus Caligula lost his voice, [and] many persons believed that the show would be cancelled, but no, the band played....an all-instrumental set!!! They played their popular songs without Caligula!!! A full instrumental set! The Peruvian guys went apeshit after this; there was riot acts and stuff . . There's no official statement [from the band] so far."
