DARK FUNERAL Recruit New Guitarist, Begin Planning New CD

March 3, 2003

DARK FUNERAL guitarist and spokesman Lord Ahriman has posted the following update to the group's official web site, www.darkfuneral.se:

"Ave! Guess it's about time to give you all some update on what's currently going on within the DARK FUNERAL hell camp. I know we've kept ourselves perhaps a bit too silent lately, but there are some reasons for that, reasons that I won't dig into right now.

"Anyway, as you already might know we have for the past couple of months been holding auditions in order to find a replacement for Dominion who left the band some time ago. It looks like we finally have found the 'right' guy for the job. But there's really no hurry to reveal his name as of yet, but we will give you all a full presentation on him shortly.

"While Matte is out touring with DEFLESHED, I will practice till death with this new demonic guy. So he is ready to play live with us when Matte eventually returns.

"We are already in the process of booking shows for late spring and autumn 2003. And as soon as we got some dates confirmed they will be announced to you all.

"We have also begun to discuss and making plans for the next full-length album. But it's still way too early to reveal any of our plans. I can however let you know as much as I have finally start working on new material. I'm currently just taking it cool, but I/we will intensify the working process during the spring and summer 2003. We will keep you updated on how it all goes and what time line we'll be setting up for ourselves with the recording of a new studio album.

"Hail Metal. Hail Satan!
Lord Ahriman / DARK FUNERAL"
