DARK FORTRESS To Film Hometown Show For Possible DVD

German black metal outfit DARK FORTRESS will film its May 19 show at Alte Kaserne in the band's hometown of Landshut for a possible DVD. Also appearing on the bill are THE VISION BLEAK, DARK AGE and CROM.

DARK FORTRESS is scheduled to enter the studio this month to begin recording its fifth album, "Scum". Nine songs will be recorded for the effort, including "Cold", "Eudaimony Reversed", "A Sickening World's Protagonist", "Abhorrence Vs. Scum", "Soul Flagellation", "The Anti-Life Doctrine", "Scumshot Orgasm" and "Antiversum". An August/September release via Century Media Records is expected.

DARK FORTRESS has been confirmed for the tenth-anniversary edition of Germany's Summer Breeze festival, set to take place August 16-18 in Dinkelsbühl. Also scheduled to appear are AMON AMARTH, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DORO, MOONSORROW and TANKARD, among others.

DARK FORTRESS' fourth full-length CD, "Séance", was released in Europe in January 2006 via Century Media Records.
