DANKO JONES: Tour Dates Announced

Canadian rock 'n' roll trio DANKO JONES has scheduled the following dates:

Dec. 08 - Montreal, Quebec - Les Saints
Dec. 20 - Toronto, Ontario - Horseshoe Tavern
Feb. 14 - Stockholm, Sweden - Close-Up Båten
Feb. 16 - Cologne, Germany - Palladium

DANKO JONES will play an exclusive Swedish concert at the Close-Up Båten metal cruise departing Stockholm on February 14, 2008 and returning the following day. The Canadian band will fly to Sweden just for this special live performance where they will debut material from their forthcoming album "Never Too Loud", to be released early next year. Also scheduled to appear are SOILWORK, BACKYARD BABIES, AVATAR, GENERAL SURGERY and MUNICIPAL WASTE.

Frontman Danko Jones has a regular column in Close-Up magazine (which is organizing the cruise),where he frequently writes about his love of thrash metal. When discussing his band's collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, STONE SOUR),Danko raves about thrash nostalgia. "The first day in the studio I was wearing a DEATH ANGEL t-shirt and [Nick] approached me with a guitar and played all the solos on 'The Ultra-Violence'!" he said. "That's when I knew that DANKO JONES were in good hands. Nick is actually doing the new DEATH ANGEL album right now."
