CRYSTAL TEARS: 'Nightmare Serenade' Extended Video Released

May 29, 2010

"Nightmare Serenade", the extended, uncensored version of the new video from the Greece-based metal band CRYSTAL TEARS, can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's forthcoming album, "Generation X", which is scheduled for release on June 18 via 7Hard.

Commented drummer Chrisafis Tantanozis: "Our debut video clip called 'Nightmare Serenade' is about a personality diverse, a fictional Jekyll-and-Hyde character, whose personality unfolds into a cold-blooded killer. So, quite a few blood scenes and suspense can be found on the screen. As director explained, there had to be this '70s thriller/horror movie atmosphere flawless for the audience!"

CRYSTAL TEARS' lineup includes Ian Parry (ELEGY, VENGEANCE, AYREON) on vocals, Dimitris Goutziamanis on guitar, Stratos Dionisopoulos on bass and Chrisafis Tantanozis on drums.

"Generation X" was produced by R.D. Liapakis (MYSTIC PROPHECY, SUICIDAL ANGELS, ORDEN OGAN). The cover artwork and booklet were designed by Meran "Darkmouth" Karanitant (SIX FEET UNDER, HATEBREED, SODOM, LEAVES' EYES, DIMMU BORGIR).

Added Tantanozis: "I'm so glad. Throughout this shit our music industry is going through, there is a label, and what is more, a serious label that trusts in us and has chosen CRYSTAL TEARS to be their metal comrades on the difficult path of rock.

"While Ian Parry is one of the most unique and flexible metal voices out there and R.D. Liapakis one of the very few producers who knows exactly what he wants to do and how to do it, we can feel nothing but secure about the quality of our work regardless the subjective factor of each one's personal taste.

"Being honest, we really worked our asses off; we got our shit together, we listened and gave more than we could give.

"I truly hope you enjoy every little second of 'Generation X' album, because it's a sincere, straightforward effort indeed, well, at the end of the day... this is what rock is all about!"
