CRIMSON GLORY, KING DIAMOND Members Unite To Bring The World DISASTERPEACE

October 4, 2007

Singer Wade Black (CRIMSON GLORY, SEVEN WITCHES, LEASH LAW, BLACK REIGN, LEATHERWOLF) has teamed up with former KING DIAMOND guitarist master Pete Blakk, renowned drummer Jesse Martillo (CRIMSON GLORY) and bassist Chris Baylor to form DISASTERPEACE.

Commented Black: "Pete came out and took the stage with BLACK REIGN on September 29 and before the set was done we both knew that this collaboration could not and would not end with one gig. The only choice we had was to unite our metal visions under one name, and that name is DISASTERPEACE. This band will be everything we've been and everything we've wanted to be as musicians, songwriters, and performers."

Black added, "It's a total thrill to be working with a legendary guitarist like Pete Blakk. Anyone who knows metal knows the awesome work Pete did with KING DIAMOND, but when you hear where he's coming from now, you will be blown away and blown to pieces!"

As to what DISASTERPEACE will sound like, Wade offers the following hints: "Brutal. A skull-pounding, head banging assault, but with a twist: we're not turning our backs on melodies or choruses. Melodic aggression at its finest!"

Rehearsals and songwriting are underway for the DISASTERPEACE live debut later this fall.
