CREATURE REPUBLIC Sign With CYCLONE RECORDS

June 28, 2006

Calgary's CREATURE REPUBLIC has signed with Cyclone Records to complete their next as-yet-untitled CD release.

The upcoming CD will be different in approach to the band's debut EP, "Watch Your Aim". Recorded at Calgary's premiere recording studio, Sundae Sound, each of the album's three segments will consist of three songs and will be released to iTunes in stages to generate interest and a mounting anticipation about the final installment.

"With the podcasting phenomenon, and CREATURE REPUBLIC's recognition within that community, it made sense to promote the disc in that forum in a multi-date release format," explains Cyclone's Brad Trew. "Attaching the release to iTunes distribution just further marries the two technologies."

Recording began on June 9, 2006, with the first release installment intended for July 31. The second and final installments will be released on September 30 and November 30, respectively. The entire release will then be followed up with a hard copy CD package.

CREATURE sound is characterized by dynamic female vocals, heavy melodic guitars, driving bass lines and powerful drums. The band's influences include QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, AUDIOSLAVE, ALICE IN CHAINS and INCUBUS.
