June 12, 2007

Fan-filmed video footage of Swedish/Finnish "glam rockers" CRASHDIET performing the song "Riot in Everyone" at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6, 2007 in Sölvesborg, Sweden has been posted at YouTube.

CRASHDIET recently entered a studio in Sundsvall, Sweden to begin recording its second album, tentatively due later in the year.

Upcoming CRASHDIET tour dates:

Jun. 28 - Peace And Love Festival - Borlänge, SWE
Jul. 13 - Helsingborgs Rock & Metal Festival - Helsingborg, SWE
Aug. 25 - Skogsröjet - Rejmyre, SWE

CRASHDIET's debut live appearance with their new singer, H. Olliver Twisted (of the Finnish hard rock act RECKLESS LOVE) took place on January 21 at the Rest in Sleaze festival at Debaser in Stockholm, Sweden.

H. Olliver Twisted joined CRASHDIET as the replacement for David Hellman (a.k.a. Dave Lepard),who committed suicide in January 2006.

Hellman was found dead on January 20, 2006 at his apartment in the Swedish city of Uppsala, north of Stockholm. It was reported in several places that he hanged himself, although this was never officially confirmed.

CRASHDIET is a Stockholm, Sweden-based Eighties hard rock-style band whose debut album, "Rest in Sleaze", entered the Swedish national album chart at position No. 12.

CRASHDIET is reportedly the first "sleaze rock" band in over 10 years to be signed directly to a major company — Universal Music.
