CRADLE OF FILTH: New Video Posted Online, Former Guitarist Joins CHRISTIAN DEATH

February 15, 2003

CRADLE OF FILTH's video for the track "Babalon AD (So Glad For The Madness)" has been posted online at this location. "Babalon AD (So Glad For The Madness)" comes off the group's much-anticipated "Damnation And A Day" CD, which is slated for release on March 10 via Sony Music. A DVD single containing the "Babalon AD (So Glad For The Madness)" video, a "Serpent Tongue" two-minute snippet with animation by the band, a photo gallery (10 shots),a merchandise details screen, and a band biography is due on March 3. "Damnation And A Day" was recorded in part at Parkgate Studio in Hastings, England, and was co-produced by Doug Cook and mixed by Scrap 60 Productions (ANTHRAX, 36 CRAZYFISTS, DRY KILL LOGIC). The video for "Babalon AD (So Glad For The Madness)" was directed by Wiz (MARILYN MANSON) and filmed in a derelict Jesuit seminary. Images within the video pay homage to "120 Days of Sodom" by the infamous Marquis De Sade, and much of the original footage has been cut to allow the video to be shown in the U.K.

In related news, former CRADLE OF FILTH axeman Gian Pyres has joined CHRISTIAN DEATH as the group's touring guitarist for their upcoming 2003 "Orgy of Sin" world tour, which is scheduled to kick off at the end of the month. Pyres, along with former bandmates Dani Filth (vocals) and Adrian Erlandsson (ex-AT THE GATES),was featured on three songs on CHRISTIAN DEATH's last studio album, "Born Again Anti Christian", which came out in 2000.
