CRÜEFEST HOLLYWOOD Organizers Looking For Bands

The 7th annual Crüefest Hollywood is scheduled to take place July 28, 2007 at the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, CA. The event's organizers have issued the following message: "We are now searching for 10 great bands to perform at this wonderful charity event! All bands must be able to perform at least one complete MÖTLEY CRÜE song! If your band is interested in playing Crüefest Hollywood 2007, please email [email protected] All band submissions will be considered! This is an excellent opportunity for you to have your band and music showcased at the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go!"

MÖTLEY CRÜE fans organized Crüefest — a music event to benefit charity. Since its inception in 2001, Crüefest has grown in audience attendance, musician participation, and dollars raised to benefit cancer research. Crüefest grows every year because of the dedication of organizers, sponsors, artists, and fans who plan, donate, and travel to make it happen.

Proceeds from this year's event — which featured appearances by SPIRALARMS (the San Francisco Bay Area band featuring Craig Locicero [ex-FORBIDDEN] on guitar, Tim Narducci [ex-SYSTEMATIC] on guitar/vocals, Chris Kontos [ex-MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT] on drums, Chris Lombardo on bass and Brad Barth on keyboards),TRASHLIGHT VISION (the new band featuring MURDERDOLLS guitarist Acey Slade),and VAINS OF JENNA, among others — went to the Skylar Neil Memorial Fund for cancer research. Skylar Neil is the daughter of Vince Neil (lead singer of MÖTLEY CRÜE) whose battle with cancer resulted in her death at age four. Event supporters share their money for a great cause at Crüefest, and artists donate their talent and time.
