COURTNEY LOVE Hires 'KURT COBAIN Lookalike' For New Band

June 13, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: Courtney Love says she has hired several musicians for her new backing band, including one who strongly resembles her late husband, NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain. Love wrote at her blog, "Another (guy) I found out later models on the side...but I'll admit it, I really hired him 'cos he looks so much like Kurt. It's weird, and he can play really well. He didn't kill me but he swore if I gave him a week he'd learn everything. He's blonde and soooooooo beautiful and his guitar playing is great."

Love plans to play a secret gig in London on her birthday, July 9, followed by a New York show on either July 12 or July 13 and a Los Angeles date shortly after that.

The former HOLE singer made a surprise appearance on June 1 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, where she performed several new solo songs in the middle of a show by her producer and co-writer, Linda Perry.

Love plans to release her second solo album, "Nobody's Daughter", sometime this year through a yet-to-be-announced label.
