CORROSION OF CONFORMITY To Include New Song On HIGH TIMES Sampler

December 24, 2003

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will be contributing a brand-new song to a compilation CD being released through High Times Records. The album, titled "High Volume", is expected to surface around April 20, 2004 and will feature a number of other "great bands," according to a post on C.O.C.'s official web site.

In other news, "there is finally serious talk of buckling down and getting some real work done on the next C.O.C. record. Hopefully we'll have some actual news concerning that matter very soon."

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, whose most recent studio album, "America's Volume Dealer", was released in 2000 through Sanctuary Records, were last heard from in August 2002 when they premiered a demo version of a new song, entitled "The Unholy", on the Raleigh, North Carolina radio station WKNC 88.1 FM. The track, which has yet to officially see the light of day, marked the recording debut with the group of new drummer Merritt Partridge, who replaced Jimmy Bower (DOWN, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, EYEHATEGOD) in early 2002.

During C.O.C.'s downtime, three-quarters of the group — Partridge, guitarist Woody Weatherman, and bassist/vocalist Mike Dean — formed a "side project", dubbed LET 'LONES, and performed several local gigs in addition to recording some of their original material for future release.
