CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Postpone European Tour Dates Due To Hurricane Katrina

September 7, 2005

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY have been forced to postpone their European tour, including their previously announced dates as the support act for MOTÖRHEAD. "C.O.C. guitarist/vocalist and New Orleans resident Pepper Keenan is currently displaced and looking after family members as they await word on when or if they will be able to return to the city," the group write on their official web site, www.coc.com. "The band plans to be back on the road in November supporting DISTURBED in the U.S. Plans are underway to reschedule shows in Europe."

Keenan told Raleigh's The News & Observer last week, "I'm in Houston right now, getting ready to go to a farm in Lake Charles. I left my mom and my grandmother and her blind friend in a hotel lobby in Baton Rouge, so I've got to get them up to the farm. I grabbed my guitar, my dog and my girlfriend and got out. That was all I could do. I've got nothing left besides a little cash in my back pocket. It will take months for me to figure out a semblance of what to do."
