COLD To Release New EP In The Winter

June 4, 2003

COLD plan to record an EP for release this winter with a number of special guests, including STAIND's Aaron Lewis and members of SEVENDUST. "ALICE IN CHAINS did 'Sap' and they had a bunch of their friends from like MUDHONEY and SOUNDGARDEN . . . join in," COLD frontman Scooter Ward told Launch. "[We] talked about doing a six-song EP . . . [with] all of our friends on it and just seeing what happens."

COLD's latest CD, "Year Of The Spider", debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard chart, with a first-week tally of 101,000 units. It then dropped to No. 29 with a second-week total of 37,000 copies. COLD's 2000 album "13 Ways to Bleed on Stage" peaked at No. 98 on The Billboard 200 and has sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
