CODE To Support SHINING In London

September 18, 2007

Britain-based black metallers CODE, whose current lineup includes Adrian Erlandsson from AT THE GATES/CRADLE OF FILTH, Kvohst and Vicotnik from DHG, and Heimoth from SETH, will play an exclusive one-off show supporting SHINING on December 13 at the Camden Underworld in London, England. Additional support will come from Maniac's SKITLIV and HELLSAW. CODE will perform tracks from its debut album, "Nouveau Gloaming" (released on Spinefarm Records) only and will not feature Simen Hestenaes from DIMMU BORGIR, who recently joined the band to perform on the second album.

Commened CODE's Aort: "So what can you expect? This is not a representation of the future, this is to set the record straight and accomplish what we never mangaged before....this is unfinished business. We will only be playing songs off the 'Nouveau Gloaming' album and the line-up will reflect that. Kvohst will be on sacrificing his vocal chords for us again, Viper (Victonik) will be playing bass, and I will be joined by Heimoth on guitar who previously was the man behind French black metal legends SETH. Drums will be performed by Adrian Erlandsson, schedule permitting.

"Do not turn up expecting to see ICS Vortex and a host of new songs, this will be an evening of regressive blackened grimness. Whether this is a will be the one and only live appearance by CODE remains to be seen....what is certain is that shows of this nature will be hugely limited.

"Opportunities are fleeting....make the most of them."

CODE's follow-up to "Nouveau Gloaming" will be released next year on Tabu Recordings.
