CODE To Continue Working With Original Vocalist KVOHST

September 15, 2008

British/Norwegian black metal project CODE, featuring bassist/backing vocalist Viper (a.k.a. Vicotnik from DHG),guitarist/songwriter Aort, and drummer Adrian Erlandsson (AT THE GATES, CRADLE OF FILTH),has issued the following update:

"It's time to come clean and show our true faces, update and inform our advocates and devotees what has been going on behind cloaked veils both in the studio and in our lineup ranks . . .

"We would like to announce that Simen 'Vortex' Hestenaes [a.k.a. ICS Vortex; DIMMU BORGIR] is not a part of CODE and will not be taking part in the forthcoming album.

"After successfully performing live with CODE during the phenomenal shows this last year, the band have resolved to continue working with original vocalist Kvohst.

"Those who have come to appreciate and love our rare, avantgarde and unique first album 'Nouveau Gloaming', will completely understand our need to continue where we left off and keep the integral spirit of the band and our music intact. It is a real pleasure to have the old, true lineup working together again.

"Kvohst has already finished writing and recording the vocals on the new album and we have set a date in early October for the final mix with the release coming this winter. All we can tell you for now is that it sounds astoundingly necrospiritual and essentially CODE!"

CODE will perform at club Willemeen in Arnhem, the Netherlands on October 17 as part of the Aurora Infernalis Fest.

The band's second album will released through Tabu Recordings. Aort previously stated about the CD, "Adrian completely devastated the drums for this recording and Vicotnik has manageed to really outdo himself with his most inspired bass work yet. I think we have all raised the bar with this recording and we are itching to get these morbid hymns out to you."

CODE's upcoming CD will be the follow-up to "Nouveau Gloaming", which came out in 2005.
