CLAWFINGER To Release New Album In The Fall

April 22, 2005

CLAWFINGER frontman Zak Tell has issued the following update on the band's current activities;

"Jocke [Skog; keyboards, vocals] is in the studio producing a Swedish thrash metal band but May will be dedicated to the wonderful world of CLAWFINGER once again and we will try and start pulling the ropes together a bit.

"We have a whole bunch of songs that are basically complete and a few more are in the making. It seems like we will be recording live drums for all the tracks with Henka and bass with André. At least I think that is the plan, I'm not totally sure myself!

"I don't know what the timeline is but obviously there will not be an album before the summer — that is just not happening at the rate we're working at. It looks more like a late autumn release, if you ask me — maybe September/October or something, but I'm just guessing so don't trust a word I say! All I know is that it looks like we're going to end up sitting in the studio sweating our balls off yet another summer.

"Some day I want to record an album in the winter when it's cold, dark and depressing outside. I think it would work better 'cos in the summertime all I wanna do is drink beer in the sun.

"Anyway, in the end, I guess whenever it is ready to be released then it will be. The most important thing after all is that we release an album that we feel is a bonafide, rope-a-dope, real-deal hardcore motherfucking CLAWFINGER classic right!?"

CLAWFINGER's latest album, "Zeros & Heros", was released in May 2003 via G.U.N./ Supersonic Records.
