Classic BLACK SABBATH Songs To Be Featured In Fifth Season Of 'Peaky Blinders'

August 22, 2019

According to Mirror, BLACK SABBATH's classic songs "The Wizard" and "War Pigs" will be featured on the fifth season of "Peaky Blinders", the Netflix hit series about one of the most powerful U.K. gangs post-World War I.

Director Anthony Byrne states: "We are using their tracks 'The Wizard' and 'War Pigs'. We built a library of music that we auditioned against different scenes. BLACK SABBATH just felt like a no-brainer. I was going: 'Why've they not been used before?'"

Season 5 of "Peaky Blinders" will be released on Friday, October 4.

Season 5 finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. When Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will impact not only the future of his family but that of the entire nation.

"Peaky Blinders" will add several new cast members in Season 5, including Sam Claflin as Oswald Mosley, Anya Taylor-Joy as Gina Gray, Brian Gleeson as Jimmy McCavern, Neil Maskell as Winston Churchill, Kate Dickie as Mother Superior, Cosmo Jarvis as Barney, and Emmett J Scanlan as Billy Grade.
