CIVILIZATION ONE To Enter Studio This Summer

CIVILIZATION ONE, the new "atmospheric, bone-crushing power metal" band featuring Chitral "Chity" Somapala (vocals; AVALON, FIREWIND, FARO, RED CIRCUIT),Aldo Lanobile (guitar; SECRET SPHERE),Luca Cartasegna (drums; ex-SECRET SPHERE, MORTUARY DRAPE),Vivian Lalu (keyboards; LALU, SHADRANE),and Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (bass; ex-HEAVENLY, MALADAPTIVE),will enter the studio this summer to begin recording their debut album, "Revolution Rising". CIVILIZATION ONE is an international musical entity comprised of musicians from Sri Lanka, Italy, and France creating timeless heavy metal with neoclassical, symphonic aggression.

Vocalist Chitral "Chity" Somapala is highly regarded for his work with AVALON, FIREWIND, FARO, MOONLIGHT AGONY, and RED CIRCUIT, releasing critically acclaimed albums with each band. Bringing his mastery of creating memorable melody lines to CIVILIZATION ONE, Chity's unique vocals are reminiscent of SCORPIONS' Klaus Meine during the "Lovedrive" era, while at other times his aggressive singing reminds one of Ronnie James Dio, circa BLACK SABBATH's "Mob Rules".

Guitar shredder Aldo Lonobile is a veteran of the Italian metal scene with his band SECRET SPHERE, who have released four albums, including their latest effort, "Heart & Anger", on Nuclear Blast Records. Aldo unleashes his blazing neoclassical fret work in CIVILIZATION ONE, inspired by Jason Becker, Sebastian Bach, Nicolo Paganini, John Petrucci, and Yngwie Malmsteen, as well as musically challenging bands such as SYMPHONY X, HELLOWEEN, SAVATAGE, and MEGADETH.

Drummer Luca Cartasegna is a greatly skilled player, noted for his double-bass work and lightning fast hands. Luca recorded three albums with CIVILIZATION ONE bandmate Aldo Lonobile in SECRET SPHERE, including "Scent of Human Desire", "A Time Nevercome", and "Mistress of the Shadowlight". Luca amicably left SECRET SPHERE after the release of "Scent Of Human Desire" due to musical differences, but has found the perfect outlet for his percussive skills in CIVILIZATION ONE.

Virtuoso keyboard player Vivien Lalu is renowned for his stellar compositions in the band SHADRANE, as well as vocalist HUBI MEISEL's solo recordings. Vivien also has his own namesake group, LALU, whose much-lauded opus "Oniric Metal" was "Album of the Month" in German metal bible Rock Hard. Lalu's unconventional keyboard and compositional brilliance will come to the fore in CIVILIZATION ONE.

Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson brings exceptional bass playing prowess to CIVILIZATION ONE, as well as his love for power, aggression and melody. Having been influenced by such technical acts as NEVERMORE, SYMPHONY X, DEATH, CYNIC, and PESTILENCE, Pierre-Emmanuel is noted for his playing in his former group, acclaimed French power metal act HEAVENLY, as well as his current band, rising metallers MALADAPTIVE.
