CHIMAIRA, SOILWORK, CALIBAN, SONIC SYNDICATE To Team Up For 'Eastpak Antidote' Tour?

June 25, 2007

CHIMAIRA, SOILWORK, CALIBAN and SONIC SYNDICATE are rumored to be teaming up for the "Eastpak Antidote" European tour this fall. So far two dates have been revealed: October 5 at the Academy in Newcastle, U.K. and October 16 at Alcatrazz in Milan, Italy. However, it should be noted that these shows have not been officially confirmed by any of the bands that are rumored to be involved in the tour.

A short video clip of CHIMAIRA guitarists Rob Arnold and Matt DeVries talking about the band's new record, "Resurrection", and their custom ESP guitars can be found at this location.

CHIMAIRA has been confirmed for the third edition of the Sounds of the Underground tour alongside GWAR, SHADOWS FALL, EVERY TIME I DIE, NECRO and JOB FOR A COWBOY, among others.

The 25-city North American trek starts July 6 at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas and wraps Aug. 8 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. Other confirmed acts include DARKEST HOUR, AMON AMARTH, THE ACACIA STRAIN, HEAVY HEAVY LOW LOW, THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU, DEVIL WEARS PRADA and GOATWHORE.

SOILWORK has finished recording its new album, due later in the year via Nuclear Blast Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Your Beloved Scapegoat", "Light Discovering Darkness", "The Snare Broken" and "The Pittsburgh Syndrome".

SOILWORK recently announced the addition of guitarist Daniel Antonsson (DIMENSION ZERO, PATHOS) to the group's ranks.

Guitarist Peter Wichers left SOILWORK in December 2005 to pursue a career in producing.
