CHIMAIRA Prepare To Record Sophomore CD

November 16, 2002

CHIMAIRA will start recording their new album, "The Impossibility Of Reason" on Nov. 25 at Spider Studios in Cleveland, Ohio with producer/frontman of SW1TCHED, Ben Schigel. Ben was responsible for producing the band's EP, "This Present Darkness", three years ago.

Commented CHIMAIRA frontman Mark Hunter: "Working with Ben is what this band needs. We get to create something we want with someone who knows us inside out, and we get to deliver a record that our fans will love sonically. Not only do we love the sounds we get out his studio but, all of our fans love the recordings of our demos, and our EP, so this just makes sense. The record has a very old school vibe and we can't wait to start tracking it (and I don't mean 1995 old school, we are talking 1982-1992 when metal was good, fast, and loaded with ripping solos)."

Among the cuts set to appear on the upcoming CD are the following:

01. Cleansation
02. Awakening
03. Impossible
04. Stigmurder
05. Pure Hatred
06. Down Again
07. Implements Of Destruction
08. The Dehumanizing Process
09. Pictures In The Goldroom
10. Overlooked
11. Indifferent To Suffering
12. Army Of Me

CHIMAIRA are also video-taping the entire recording process with hopes of releasing a DVD with the new record.
