CHILDREN OF BODOM Frontman Featured On YOUNG GUITAR DVD

December 12, 2005

According to a posting on the CHILDREN OF BODOM fan site Scythes-Of-Bodom.com, the band's frontman, Alexi Laiho, took time out during the band's Japanese tour to shoot new guitar exercises for a DVD that will be included with the January 2006 issue of the Japanese magazine Young Guitar. The 21-minute video features Laiho going over the riffs and/or solos for several songs, including "Living Dead Beat", "Downfall", "Are You Dead Yet?", "In Your Face", "You're Better Off Dead", "If You Want Peace, Prepare For War", "Lake Bodom", "Towards Dead End", "Hate Me!", "Warheart", and "Hate Crew Deathroll".

Check out several preview pictures of the DVD at this location. The magazine cover (featuring Laiho) can be seen at Scythes-Of-Bodom.com.

In the accompanying Young Guitar interview, Laiho reveals that he and keyboardist Janne Wirman plan to shoot an instructional DVD next summer.

In other news, the Japanese deluxe edition of CHILDREN OF BODOM's "Are You Dead Yet?" album will feature three live bonus tracks recorded on the band's Japanese tour in October: "Living Dead Beat", "Follow the Reaper" and "Hate Crew Deathroll". The bonus DVD will feature behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions for "Are You Dead Yet?" and material shot during the band's European festivals and their 2003 Japanese tour. The videos for "Trashed, Lost & Strungout" and "Sixpounder" are also included.
