CHEVELLE To Release 'Vena Sera' In April

January 13, 2007

CHEVELLE has set "Vena Sera" as the title of its fifth studio LP, due on April 3 via Epic. The album was recorded with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette, with whom the band previously worked with on both "This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)" and "Wonder What's Next".

The full track listing for "Vena Sera" is as follows:

01. Antisaint
02. Brainiac
03. Saferwaters
04. Well Enough Alone
05. Straight Jacket Fashion
06. The Fad
07. Humanoid
08. Paint The Seconds
09. Midnight To Midnight
10. I Get It
11. Saturdays

In an interview with MTV.com conducted last October, CHEVELLE frontman Pete Loeffler stated about the group's upcoming CD, "It's heavy as sh--," he said. "We're gonna have vintage tones on this record. We're trying to move away from that more typical modern-rock sound and trying to get better tones on this record. Everything is going to sound better, and the music will be a little more focused. I don't know where the landscape of rock is right now, but I don't think it's in a good place. If you do one thing and you do it well, eventually it will come back around for you. I don't know about other bands, but we're sticking to what we know and love."
