CHARON Frontman Launches New Side-Project

July 7, 2007

CHARON/ex-POISONBLACK frontman Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto has launched a new band called HARMAJA. The group, which also features CHARON drummer Antti Karihtala, sings in Finnish and is said to be influenced by the likes of NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS and MORRISSEY.

CHARON is currently writing material for a new album, tentatively due next year. The group's latest CD, "Songs for the Sinners", debuted on Finland's national album chart at position No. 6 back in September 2005.

The follow-up to 2003's "The Dying Daylights", "Songs for the Sinners" was recorded at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki with producer Mikko Karmila.
