CEREMONY OF OPPOSITES Signs With PAINKILLER RECORDS

October 30, 2009

Painkiller Records has announced the signing of Holland's CEREMONY OF OPPOSITES for the release of the band's second full-length album, "Seeds of Resurrection", which is scheduled to hit the streets in late 2009/early 2010.

Playing death metal with shades of thrash, viking and black metal running through it, CEREMONY OF OPPOSITES is one of the few metal bands to include a female amongst its ranks in the shape of Asje Van Loon (bass, backing vocals),who, along with Pascal (guitar, backing vocals) and Marcel Oerlemans (lead guitars, lead vocals),was one of the original founder members in 2005. Drummer Tim Verheijden (THE MORGAN AFFAIR, SURMOUNT, ex-NIHILISTIC, ex-FACIAL HUMILIATION),with his boundless energy, is a recent recruit to the band.

Regarding the decision to sign with Painkiller Records, Pascal commented, "We had discussions with different labels that wanted to release 'Seeds of Resurrection', but after speaking with Painkiller Records we had a good feeling about it. We play this music because it's the music we love and we put our hearts and souls into this album. It's like our baby and you definitely don't want to give your baby to somebody who doesn't care. Painkiller Records believes in us, and we are on the same page. We are given complete creative freedom, combined with worldwide distribution and promotion. We are very much looking forward to going on the road with our new drummer Tim to support the album and we are starting off in style with champagne at the Halloween Metal Meeting in Belgium to celebrate."
