CELLADOR Guitarist: 'We Really Hope To Come Back To Japan As Soon As We Can'

October 27, 2007

Guitarist Bill Hudson of the Nebraska-based power metallers CELLADOR has issued the following update:

"What the hell was that? Seriously, I've always heard that everybody loves to play in Japan and now I know why!

"Our show at Loudpark 07 was the first ever in Japan, I couldn't believe how many people were there for us and we were the very first band! According to the promoter, there were 12 thousand people and as far my eye could see, everybody was singing our songs. There was a five-minute changeover between bands and they were there for every single one of them, chanting their names! They were even moshing during our set, something I thought Japanese people didn't do!

"After the set I did a signing session for Ibanez, some interviews, and went to see Tokyo with Mika (bassist in CELLADOR),Jeremy (our tour manager),Satoshi (Japanese booking agent) and our very nice translator/tour guide Miki. I wanted to buy some action figures of the Japanese heroes I grew up watching back in Brazil, but surprisingly nobody really knew of them. Those heroes are the original super sentais, which America managed to buy the rights, slaughter the stories and then call it Power Rangers... I eventually found one, though.

"After drinking a couple of Japanese beers (they're so strong!),some sake and some other stuff that kinda tastes like vodka, we went back to the venue to party with everybody else and the other bands. I got pretty wasted that night with Mike (Artist Relations from Ibanez),Thomas (THERION),Jeanne (ALL THAT REMAINS),Nick (AS I LAY DYING) and then I went back to the hotel and drank some more with Niclas (AMORPHIS),their manager and Toyohiro (Metal Blade Japan). Oh man, there was A LOT of drinking during that trip.

"We really hope to come back as soon as we can, and we're actually on the talks. Hopefully we'll get back there between our two U.S./Canada/Mexico tours next year!"

CELLADOR's new album will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL). It will be mixed by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD).

CELLADOR's "Enter Deception" CD was released in June 2006 via Metal Blade.
