CELEBRANT Hard At Work On New Album

October 6, 2009

Belgian satanic brutal old-school death/black metal horde CELEBRANT is currently in the studio writing and recording the follow-up to 2007's "Spawn of Chaos" for an early 2010 release via Hong Kong's Trinity Records. Entitled "Thy Will Be Done", the new CD will contain "eight blasphemer songs that will finally put the final nail in the coffin of Christianity's hypocrisy," according to a press release. It is being recorded in guitarist's Geert Thaen's own studio, The Brotherhood Studio, where it will also be mixed and mastered. The cover artwork is being created by Dirk of Hardbringer Design.

"Thy Will Be Done" will mark the recording debut of the band's new drummer Olivier Smeets, who replaced Mark Van Der Velde following the completion of the "Spawn of Chaos" recording sessions.

Commented vocalist Pierke: "The new album will be more melodic and will have some black metal influence as well but the fast parts will still be there. It will be different to our previous recorded efforts but it will be still undeniably CELEBRANT."

Songtitles set to appear on "Thy Will Be Done" include:

* To Whom Has Failed
* I Wish You Were Dead
* On The Fields Of War
* Devouring Vengeance
* The Darkness Inside
