CARPATHIAN FOREST To Take Break From Live Shows

September 7, 2005

Norwegian black metallers CARPATHIAN FOREST have posted the following message on their official web site:

"CARPATHIAN FOREST have decided to take a break from all live shows for the rest of 2005 and focus on completing the new album. CF will come back strong next year with the new album and another world tour!! CARPATHIAN FOREST is scheduled to play a two-month long European tour in March/April, and a possible first-time-ever appearance in North America and a re-visit to South America and central America. The band played its 100th show ever, in Bogota, Colombia earlier this summer."

As previously reported, Season of Mist has set a January 17, 2006 U.S. release date (one day earlier internationally) for CARPATHIAN FOREST's new album. "The band is almost finished with all recordings, only a few details left, and will decide where to mix the album within a short period of time," reads a posting on the band's web site.
