CANDLEMASS Replaced By METAL CHURCH At Germany's HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR Festival

The organizers of the Headbangers Open Air festival — which is set to take place June 14-15 in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany — have issued the following statement regarding the cancellation of CANDLEMASS' appearance at the event:

"After we tried to clear the situation with CANDLEMASS in the last days we got the final statement of the management. CANDLEMASS will definately not play the HOA because [singer] Messiah left the band [as exclusively reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on April 28 — Ed.]. Therefore we were able to sign more than an alternative: the legendary METAL CHURCH, who got the headliner slot on July 15."

The festival billing is now shaping up as follows:

BLITZKRIEG
