'Candlemass Chronicles': New Issue Focusing On 'Chapter VI' Album Out Now

January 13, 2010

Established in 2008, the purpose of the Candlemass Chronicles is to create an in-depth biography of the legendary Swedish doom metal band CANDLEMASS in the form of magazines. Each issue focuses on one album from the CANDLEMASS catalog and goes into great detail about the recording process and that particular period of the band's history.

Newly published is issue #3 focusing on the "Chapter VI" album in which the magazine sheds some much-needed light on this fateful and very interesting but still little-covered era in the band's history.

The 36 jam-packed pages have extensive interviews with the following people to offer:

* Lead guitar player Lars Johansson
* Vocalist Thomas Vikström
* Rhythm guitar player Mats "Mappe" Björkman
* Drummer Janne Lindh
* Recording engineer and co producer Rex Gisslén

* Dave Constable and Lena Graaf, who used to manage CANDLEMASS 1987-91, with their views on how CANDLEMASS business was poorly taken care of in the early 1990s.

And also some rare photos and a feature on album cover artist Tomas Arfert.
