CAMP FREDDY the Los Angeles-based "jam" group featuring Dave Navarro (ex-JANE'S ADDICTION, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT bassist, current CIRCUS DIABLO vocalist), Matt Sorum (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES), Donovan Leitch (son of legendary folk singer Donovan), and Chris Chaney (JANE'S ADDICTION, ALANIS MORRISETTE) continues to thrill audiences with its musical performances and special guests during the group's month-long residency in May at The Roxy in West Hollywood. Last night (Thursday, May 22), CAMP FREDDY's performance was highlighted by special appearances from: Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AUDIOSLAVE, THE NIGHTWATCHMAN), Brandon Boyd (INCUBUS), Chino Moreno (DEFTONES), Glen Matlock (SEX PISTOLS), pop star Tiffany, Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS), Billy Duffy (THE CULT), Brett Scallions (FUEL), members of the '80s metal/hard rock tribute band STEEL PANTHER (a.k.a. METAL SKOOL), Hayley Cramer (MCQUEEN) and SUGAR RAY's Mark McGrath (featured each week in May).

Fans were treated to a unique rendition of the SEX PISTOLS' "Pretty Vacant" with the PISTOLS' Glen Matlock on bass and Tiffany on vocals. Guitarist Tom Morello and vocalist Brandon Boyd joined forces for JANE'S ADDICTION's "Mountain Song", while Chino Moreno sang vocals on ALICE IN CHAINS' "Them Bones", with AIC's Jerry Cantrell on guitar. The set closed with THE STOOGES' "I Wanna Be Your Dog", featuring Morello (on drums rather than guitar), Boyd, Cantrell, Duffy, McGrath, Scallions and all-female punk rock dance group the DARLING STILETTOS.

Catch CAMP FREDDY and different musical guests and songs at The Roxy once more on Thursday, May 29.

As previously reported, CAMP FREDDY is continuing work on what is expected to eventually be released as the band's debut album.

"We've done a bunch of covers, it's being worked on, it's coming together slowly," Sorum told Buzznet last week. "There is a record, there's a lot of music done, we just need to lay vocals. It's a little difficult because every one has record labels, and we need to get clearance. Sometimes when you get big stars you can run into some difficulty business-wise. That's the wall we've hit. At CAMP FREDDY, we try to be artists for artists, we just talk to each other and work it out."

Among the cuts that are set to appear on the effort are "20th Century Boy" (also featuring Steve Jones from THE SEX PISTOLS on lead guitar) and THIN LIZZY's "Jailbreak" (featuring ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell on vocals and Billy Duffy on lead guitar). Other guest musicians include RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith and singer Macy Gray.

Since its formation six years ago when they rocked the opening of The Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles at the invitation of Brent Bolthouse, CAMP FREDDY has performed on both coasts of America and on national television shows ("The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn", "Last Call with Carson Daly"). CAMP FREDDY also hosts a weekly radio show on Los Angeles' acclaimed Indie 103.1 every Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
