BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Booed At METAL HAMMER GOLDEN GODS AWARDS

June 12, 2007

The Sun Online reports that Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE were booed last night (Monday, June 11) when they collected their award for "Best UK Band".

As a sea of black descended on top London night spot Koko for the fifth annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, the boys seemed shocked at their reception.

But the crowd only had time for Californian quartet MACHINE HEAD — who played an incredible live set following their appearance at Download festival just days earlier.

They stole the show with two awards including "Best Album" for the critically-acclaimed "The Blackening".

Frontman Robb Flynn also picked up the prestigious Golden God accolade — the award show's top honor.
