BUCKCHERRY To Re-Release Debut Album

Launch Radio Networks reports: BUCKCHERRY will re-release its self-titled 1999 debut album on October 31 in a special CD/DVD deluxe edition. The bonus DVD, the band's first release in that format, will feature a couple of rare studio recordings and seven equally hard-to-find videos. The two studio tracks, "Late Nights In Voodoo" and "Fastback 69", were recorded at the same time as the first album but never commercially issued in the U.S. Also included are videos for the album's singles, including the band's breakthrough hit "Lit Up", "Check Your Head", "Dead Again" and "For The Movies", plus footage of three performances taped in Los Angeles.

BUCKCHERRY's founding members, singer Joshua Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson, reformed the group last year after disbanding in 2001. Todd told Launch how he thinks their relationship has changed since the early days. "I can only speak personally," he said. "I really have a lot more respect for him. Not that I didn't respect him before, but I think being able to step back and take a look at what we had created, without being actively involved, was a really great thing for me. Our friendship is stronger because of it, and we really, really write good songs together."

BUCKCHERRY's hiatus ended with its comeback album, "15", and smash single, "Crazy Bitch". The album has sold 433,000 copies since its U.S. release last April.

The raunchy "Crazy Bitch" video was pulled from circulation last month when an underage girl sued the band, claiming she was coerced into taking her top off in the clip. A new video has since been filmed.

"Next 2 You" is the next single headed to radio from 15.

BUCKCHERRY began a new tour with CROSSFADE last night (Tuesday, October 10),with the bands playing tonight (Wednesday, October 11) in Phoenix, Arizona.
